American Architecture Coasters

In 1885, the world's first skyscraper was opened in Chicago. Called the Home Insurance Building, it towered a whopping 42 meters into the air - which was amazing for the time!

What followed was a frenzy of tower-building in America, which produced masterpieces such as the Empire State, Rockefeller Tower (been there, done that), and many more besides.

Currently, the pinnacle (pun intended) of skyscraper building sits in Dubai - the Burj Khalifa - which soars 828 meters into the sky; more than 19 times taller than the HIB!

I thought it would be nice to have a little bit of this American Architectural history on my desk, so I modeled some coasters which include:

- The Empire State Building

- The Transamerica Pyramid

- The Twin Towers (Lest we forget!)

- The Golden Gate Bridge

- The Washington Memorial

- The Jefferson Monument

- The Gateway Arch

You can get the 3D files here. I will also be making these available for purchase on my Etsy store soon!
